A race with a difference

Small Beginnings. Big Mountains. Bigger Purpose. In 2020, three neighbours and one adventurous goat sparked what would become SummitX. 🐐 From humble summit challenges, we’ve grown into a Southern African mountain movement with a bigger mission: adventure that makes a difference. In 2027, we’re shaking things up! Six signature group adventures, a leaner lineup, and a new chapter for the Great Escarpment Quest. First up: the Makhonjwa Mountains! Gather your crew (4–12 hikers), choose your dates, and book your own adventure directly with our local community role players. No fixed event dates, no waiting for a gap in the calendar! Every cent from these independently booked hikes goes directly to the communities, helping fund training for local people to become fully qualified hiking guides. Our six organised SummitX group events remain separate. Your adventure. Their mountains. A future worth climbing for. Free membership. Wild places. Real impact. SummitX — For the love of mountains. And the occasional goat. 🏔️🐐
